Graveside services for Jerry Roemmich age 80 of Selby 2:30 PM Friday, November 6, 2020 at Mound City Cemetery, under the direction of Kesling Funeral Home. passed away, Tuesday, November 3, 2020 at Bowdle Nursing Home in Bowdle. Arrangements are pending with Kesling Funeral Home of Mobridge, SD.

Jerry was born March 25, 1940 at St. Maries, ID, to Arthur and Emma (Aman) Roemmich.

Jerry married Diane Sieler on December 8, 1967 at the Norway Lutheran Church.

They lived in Mound City and Jerry worked at the Bud Rossow farm. They later moved to Selby and worked for the City of Selby. Then they moved to the Del and Betty Prasek farm and worked there for many years before moving to Bowdle. He worked for Richard Beitelspacher for five months before going to work for Danny Zabel Implement Shop. Jerry and Diane moved back to Selby in 1980. Jerry drove mail truck before returning to work for the City of Selby. He remained with the city until he had a stroke in 2004.

Jerry and Diane were members of the Wheels Unlimited Car Club for many years.

Jerry had a great love for fishing. He was always a positive person and always had a smile on his face. Jerry was also a great jokester. He was a good hearted man. Jerry will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

Jerry is survived by his wife Diane of Selby, his two fur babies, Cookie and Oreo, close friend Alvin Moos of ND., sister-in-laws; Mary Thies of Rapid City, Virginia (Dale) Mayer of Selby, Lyla (Elden) Schick, of Selby, Betty Prasek of Herreid, Ray (Cora) Sieler of Newton, IA, Ruby (Bill) Steder of Selby, Reta (Larry) Rossow of Herreid, numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

Jerry was preceded in death by his parents Arthur and Emma Roemmich, brother-in-laws Wilbert and Gary Sieler, mother and father-in-law, Ludwig and Esther Sieler.
