Funeral services for Jean Roebuck 75 of Mobridge will be Saturday at 11:00 AM at Trinity Lutheran Church in Mobridge. Pastor Doug Westerlund officiating. Burial will be in the Greenwood Cemetery under the direction of Kesling Funeral Home in Mobridge. A prayer service will be Friday at 7:00PM at the Funeral Home. Visitation will be Friday beginning at 2:30 PM at the funeral home. Mrs. Roebuck passed away January 5, 2010 at Bismarck, ND
Jean was born to Mr. and Mrs. John P. Swanson on April 14, 1934 in Glenham, S.D. She had one brother Bernole Swanson. Her dad died in 1936 and her mother remarried Oscar Ochsner on April 17, 1939. Jean had one step sister Addison (Sheila) Dame of Mobridge and one step brother Dennis Ochsner of Beresford, SD. Jean lived on a farm east of Mobridge for several years. In the late forties they then moved into Mobridge. Jean graduated from High School in May of 1954. She married Milton Roebuck on December 7, 1954 in Timber Lake. They had five children, Brenda Roebuck, of Sioux Falls, Arnold Roebuck of Glenham, Tracy (Roebuck) Goetz of Mobridge, John Roebuck of Huron, and Glen Roebuck of Huron.
In 1963 they moved to a farm by Sioux Falls and milked cows for 6 years. She then moved back to Mobridge and worked for the Eagle's Club and The Moose Club.
Jean is survived by husband Milton Roebuck of Mobridge, five children Brenda Roebuck of Sioux Falls, Arnold (Patty) Roebuck of Glenham, Tracy (Jody) Goetz of Mobridge, John (Cheryl) Roebuck of Huron, and Glen (Ruth) Roebuck of Huron, one sister Sheila Dame of Mobridge, two sister-in-laws Betty Swanson of Mobridge and Sheryl Ochsner of Beresford, SD, 11 grandchildren, Jesse, Timmy, and Jason Roebuck, Jennifer Gorsuch, Jamie Fees, Jacob and James Roebuck, Amy, Teresa, and Dallas Roebuck, and Cody Holzer, and one Special Little Dog Buster.
She is preceded in death by her parents, one brother Bernole, half brother Dennis, and one brother-in-law Addison (Spud) Dame.
Casketbearers will be Clayton Roebuck, Jesse Roebuck, Timmy Roebuck, James Roebuck, Claude Roebuck, and Buddy Roebuck.
Organist will be Diane Hintz.
Soloist will be Diane Hintz "Just A Closer Walk With Thee"
