Jason George Frazier
Jason George Frazier was born on October 1, 1975, in Mobridge, South Dakota, to George and Phyllis Frazier. A lifelong member of the Mobridge community, Jason built a life centered around his family, his work, his friends, and his dedication to giving back to the community he loved.
Jason graduated from Mobridge High School in 1994. Following in his father George’s footsteps, Jason built a successful career in the plumbing, heating, and air conditioning business, eventually becoming the owner of his own business. His work allowed him to serve the community he loved while building lasting relationships with many of the people who knew and trusted him.
Giving back to the community was an important part of Jason’s life. He was involved in several local organizations, including the Mobridge Rodeo Association and the Tourism Committee. In true Jason fashion, he even roped his fiancée, Lindsay Scott, into joining the Mobridge Rodeo Association. The two enjoyed volunteering together and shared many good times while giving their time to causes they cared about. Their involvement was just one of the many ways Jason found joy in being part of his community.
Jason loved to travel and was always ready for the next adventure. He especially enjoyed every opportunity to head to the Black Hills, where he loved camping and riding his motorcycle. One of his favorite traditions was attending the Sturgis Motorcycle Rally every year. He looked forward to the motorcycles, the open road, and the experience of being part of something he loved.
Jason also had a genuine love for good food and discovering new places to eat. Wherever his travels took him, he was often on the lookout for the next restaurant to try. Exploring new places, sharing a good meal, and making memories along the way were some of the simple pleasures he enjoyed most.
Jason faced a long four-year battle with cancer, meeting each day with remarkable strength and a positive spirit. Throughout his illness, he continued to keep a good attitude and find reasons to smile. He never let his circumstances define him. His courage, determination, and ability to remain positive through such a difficult journey were an inspiration to those around him.
Jason was engaged to Lindsay Scott, with whom he shared his life, adventures, and many special memories. He had no children of his own, but he held a special place in his heart for his family and his nieces and nephews.
Jason is survived by his mother, Phyllis Frazier; his three sisters, Nancy Frazier, Beth (Kim) Hollenbeck, and Lee Ann (Doug) Skeie; his fiancée, Lindsay Scott; and his nieces and nephews, Dustin (Anette) Hollenbeck, Paige (David) Karow, Jared (Kyrie Lemburg) Hollenbeck, Sarah (Spence) Koenig, and Michael (Michelle) Skeie, along with extended family and many friends who will miss him dearly.
Jason was preceded in death by his father, George Frazier and Grandparents.
Jason will be remembered for his generous heart, his willingness to help others, his dedication to his community, and his love of family, travel, motorcycles, the outdoors, and a good meal. He had a way of bringing people together and making memories wherever he went. The kindness he showed, the people he helped, the places he traveled, and the community he loved will all be part of the lasting legacy he leaves behind.
Jason’s life was one of hard work, service, family, friendship, perseverance, and adventure. Though his journey was far too short, the memories he created and the lives he touched will remain with those who knew and loved him.
