Janice Perkins, 82, of Selby passed away peacefully Friday, October 16, 2020, at the Walworth County Care Center. A private family service was held.

Janice was born on February 18, 1938, in Grant, OH, to Clarence and Regina (Borst) Linke. She graduated from Forest High School in Forest, OH. On March 30, 1959, Janice was united in marriage to Gene Perkins. They made their home in Kenton, OH. Due to Gene's job requiring traveling the family lived at various places over the years. In 2005 they moved to Selby, SD, where she has since resided. Besides raising her family Janice babysat, wallpapered houses, and ironed for others. She enjoyed crocheting, sewing, baking, and gardening. All her grandchildren and great grandchildren received an afghan that Janice had crocheted.

Janice is survived by her husband of 61 years, Gene of Selby, children, Kathleen (Paul) Chase of Java, SD, Anthony (Vonda) Perkins of Kenton, OH, Stan (Renee) Perkins of Kenton, OH, Terry (Richard) Sampson of Stockholm, NJ, Jennifer (Torrey Wahl) Perkins of Java, SD, and Jessica Perkins of Webster, SD, grandchildren, Robert, Joshua, Regina, Joanna, Brandon, Mark, Tonya, Kenny, Jessica, Elizabeth, Daulton, Rich, Jake, Samantha, Virginia, Erica, Thomas, Autumn and Ryan, many great grandchildren, two brothers and one sister.

She is preceded in death by her parents, a great grandchild, four brothers, and two sisters.
