Obituary

Funeral arrangements for Rev. James E. Healy, age 75, of Mobridge will be 2 PM, Friday, July 30, 2010 at Corner Stone Church in Mobridge. Burial will be at Mobridge City Cemetery under the direction of Kesling Funeral Home. Visitation will be from 12-7 on Thursday at the funeral home and a prayer service to follow. Mr. Healy passed away Tuesday, July 27, 2010 at the Golden Living Center in Mobridge.

James E. Healy, Sr., was born January 4, 1935 at Fort Belknap, Montana to William and Mayme (Contway) Healy. He worked on various ranches in Montana in his earlier years and attended Bible College in Fargo, ND from
1973-1977. James was also an AA Counselor the last two years of
Bible College.

James married Agnes Baumann on August 20, 1993 in Murdo, SD. James served as the pastor at the Carmille Indian Mission Church in Wakpala, SD for 3 years, then served as pastor at the church in White River for several years. After serving the White River church he and Agnes traveled the East Coast and Midwest as Evangelist Ministers. In 1999 James was called to serve the InterTribal Baptist Church in Rapid City, SD.

James had a stroke in 2004 when they moved to Mobridge to be closer to Agnes's family.

He is survived by his wife Agnes of Mobridge, four children, James Healy, Jr., Kirk Healy, Vernie Healy, Mayme Jean Healy, brothers, Marvin Healy, John Contway, Chuck Healy, Wayne Healy all of Montana, Ron Healy of California, sisters, Barb Healy, Elaine Healy, Camie Doney, Debra Morsette all of Montana and 13 grandchildren, numerous great-grandchildren.

James was preceded in death by his parents, brother, Franklin Healy, sister, Annette Healy-Fox, grandson, Eric James Jones.

Casketbearers will be Archie Baumann, Dwight Baumann, David Baumann, Jordan Baumann, Rodney Sam, and Michael Zimoski.

Honorary casketbearers will be All Family and Friends.

Organist is Bonnie Quaschnick

Soloist is Darlene Myers "Don't Cry For Me" ~ "He Touched Me" ~ "Blessed Assurance"
