Memorial services for Jalen Charles One Feather, 30, of Fort Yates, will be at 11:00 am, September 25, 2025, at the AJ Agard building. Burial will follow at the Iron Shield family cemetery. After the burial a meal will be served at the AJ Agard building. Jalen passed away on September 15, 2025, at CHI St. Alexius in Bismarck.
Jalen Charles One Feather was born on November 19, 1994, to Michelle Lawrence and Kenneth Tree Top. He was the oldest of two children. Jalen grew up in Fort Yates, ND where he attended school, elementary through high school. He graduated in 2013. He then went to college at United Tribes in Bismarck, ND and shortly after he went onto Sitting Bull College where he graduated with a certification in Welding. Jalen has worked in many great occupations in his life. Jalen loved to play basketball, walk, run, and workout. He also loved the game of football; he is a diehard Philadelphia Eagles fan! Jalen had four beautiful babies, his oldest baby girl Kadence, his two tiny babies Kimiah Joan and Claire Michelle. His only sonny boy is Jax Richard Lee. Jalen adored his babies. He loved spending time with his family, watching football and working. Jalen was currently employed with Warrior Spirits in Fort Yates. Jalen always said, "my dad always told me to work hard, and I will forever carry that with me."
Jalen is survived by his father Kenneth Tree Top, sister McKenna Tree Top, girlfriend Lucy Harrison, his children Kadence, Jax, Kimiah and Claire, maternal grandmother Alyce One Feather, nephews Matthias Tree Top, Kadin Herman-Tree Top, uncles Wilmer Sitting Dog, Myron Sitting Dog, Clayton, aunt Deanna Lawrence, cousins Derrick, Jarrod, and Kole Iron Shield.
Jalen was preceded in death by his mother Michelle Lawrence, aunt Kim Iron Shield and brother Lane Carry Moccasin.
