Mass of Christian Burial for Jack D. Collins, 73, of Bismarck will be at 10 AM, MT, Tuesday, May 6, 2025 at Holy Rosary Catholic Church in Trail City. Inurnment will be at the Trail City Cemetery under direction of Kesling Funeral Home. A prayer service will be at 7 PM CT, Monday at Kesling Funeral Home. Jack passed away March 17, 2025 at his home in Bismarck.

Jack Dale Collins was born in Mobridge, South Dakota on July 7, 1951 to Norbert and Bea Collins. He was baptized at St. Joseph's Church on July 22. He made his first communion July 5, 1959, in Trail City and his confirmation was on July 8, 1963, in the Holy Rosary Catholic Church. Jack attended grade school in Trail City and attended high school in Mobridge and Hoven graduating from Hoven in 1969. He worked for Dr. Jim Collins on the ranch in Hoven where they raised Herford cattle. From there Jack worked for the railroad until his retirement. Jack and his best friend and cousin, Barry Bender, talked every day. Barry passed on December 29, 2025; they had great times together. Jack would help the Bender's with branding and working cattle. He enjoyed meeting up at the NFR with his cousins.

Jack is survived by his sister JoAnn (Dean) Wendt, Judy Hintz, sister-in-law Pat Collins, and many nieces and nephews.

Jack was preceded in death by his parents, Norbert and Bea, brothers, Jim and Jerry, niece, Colleen Rohlfs, brother-in-law, Dennis Hintz.
