Obituary

Funeral services for Irma Larson, 100, of Pollock will be at 10 AM, Monday, June 30, 2025, at the Pollock Lutheran Church. Burial will be at the Spring Creek Cemetery under the direction of Kesling Funeral Home of Mobridge. Visitation will start at 6 PM with a prayer service Sunday at 7 PM at the church. Irma passed away Monday, June 23, 2025, at the Strasburg Care Center.

Irma Jane Falde was born on July 29, 1924, in Mound City, South Dakota, to Anna (Pool) and Jethro Gaius Falde. She was an only child and attended grade school at Hill School by Westfield, ND, graduating from Pollock High School in 1942. Irma married the love of her life, Arnie Larson, while he was on furlough on August 20, 1943. She worked for Art Kruger at the local grocery store and the Whalen Café.

Irma and Arnie moved to the DeVan farm on November 3, 1947. She enjoyed quilting, teaching Sunday School, singing in choir and was heavily involved in community events. Irma was an active member of the American Legion Auxiliary and was recognized by the American Heart Association for her dedication and service. Irma's life was filled with love, family, and community dedication.

In June 2022, Irma entered the Strasburg Care Center. While in the Care Center, she enjoyed socializing, playing Bingo, and winning at Bingo. She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband Arnie, and her brother and sister-in-laws, Helmer & Bertha Larson; Christine & Herman Harp, Martin Larson, and Engolf & Edna Larson.

Grateful to have shared her life are her sons Harlow (Carol) Larson of Pollock; Jim (Pat) Larson of Mobridge; and Roger (Wanda) Larson of Sioux Falls. Her grandchildren and great grandchildren Shannon & Kent Berndt (Madison & Tanner), of Bismarck; Matt Larson & Jeni Atkinson (Grace) of Pollock, Byron Larson of Pierre, South Dakota; Justin & Erika Larson (Trevor & Brooke) of Ipswich, South Dakota; Randy & Amber Larson (Morgan, Olivia, Rayden, Andi) Bemidji, Minnesota; Alan & Jackie Larson (Axel & Barrett) of Sioux Falls, South Dakota; and Tiffany & Peren Knoepfle (Anakin) of Baltic, South Dakota; Carola Kolmann & Dominique Skopp, Munich Germany; sister-in-law, Bonnie Larson of Mobridge as well as many friends and extended family.
