Funeral services for Ira Pretty Weasel, 56, of Swiftbird will be at 12:00 pm (MT), Friday, July 11, 2025, at the The Church of God in La Plant, SD. Burial will follow after lunch at the Congregational Cemetery. There will be a procession 1 mile east of La Plant with horse riders leading into town. Ira passed away Friday, June 20, 2025, in Swiftbird.

Ira was born on September 25, 1969, to Ivan Pretty Weasel and Beverly Scott. He made his home in La Plant where he lived with his mom until he met Lola Lee who he then had two daughters with, Priscilla Pretty Weasel of Huron, SD and Kirsten Pretty Weasel of Eagle Butte, SD. Ira loved reading books, hanging out with his friends and family, along with watching "Walker Texas Ranger".

He is survived by his children Priscilla Pretty Weasel and Kirsten Pretty Weasel, grandchildren Jason, Daisyn, Laison, Attie, and Lance Jr. Little Dog, brother Louie Middletent, sister Arlene Pretty Weasel.

Ira was preceded in death by his parents Ivan Pretty Weasel and Beverly Scott, brothers Herman Pretty Weasel and Dugan Scott, grandparent Grover Scott, and grandson Pierce Little Dog.
