Ione Enderson, 77, of Mobridge passed away Friday, September 5, 2025, at Sanford Medical Center in Fargo. Private family services will be held. Kesling Funeral Home of Mobridge is in charge of arrangements.

Ione was born on August 9, 1948, to William Sr. and Norma Johnson on the family farm near Selby, South Dakota.

Ione attended a country school near Selby, SD, through eighth grade and graduated from Glenham High School in 1966. On April 29, 1976, she married Carlois Enderson, and they had 4 children: Memorie (Randy) Carlson of Mobridge, Monique (Josh) Eldridge of Bismarck, North Dakota, Monica (Kirby) Keller of Spearfish, South Dakota, and Ryan Enderson of Mobridge. Ione was a devoted grandmother to 13 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren, who brought her immense joy.

Known for her home-style cooking, Ione was a beloved cook in the Mobridge area. Her ability to master any recipe was legendary, whether she was cooking for a small family gathering or a crowd of 300. Her meals were always remarkable, leaving lasting memories for all who tasted her dishes.

Ione was preceded in death by her parents, William Sr. and Norma Johnson; siblings William Brooks Johnson, Forest Johnson, Arwood Johnson, and Roberta Perman; and brother-in-law Marvin Perman.
