Funeral Services for Ida Fjeldseth age 90 of Mobridge, SD will be on Tuesday August 31, 2010 at 11:00 AM at the Trinity Lutheran Church in Mobridge. Burial will be in Our Savior Lutheran Cemetery in Firesteel, under the direction of Kesling Funeral Home of Mobridge. Visitation will be from 2:00 PM with a prayer service at 7:00 p.m at the funeral home on Monday. Ida passed away August 27, 2010 in Mobridge, SD.

Ida was born May 22, 1920 to Gottfried and Bertha (Delzer) Finkbeiner at Firesteel, SD. She grew up on the farm south of Firesteel, and attended the Kundill Country School.

Ida married Albert "Tex" Fjeldseth on September 23, 1944 in Selby. Ida and Tex lived on a ranch 3 miles west of the Bickel ranch north of Firesteel until 1960 when they moved to Mobridge. Ida worked in various cafes in Mobridge, worked at Gibsons for 20 plus years and at the Smith's Bay campgrounds along with her husband until her retirement.

Ida was a member of Our Savior Lutheran Church of Firesteel before moving to Mobridge and was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church of Mobridge.

She entered the Golden Living Center April 2008, because of her health and was a resident at the time of her death.

Ida is survived by 5 daughters: Esther (Claude) Hahne of Trail City, SD, Bertha Lanphear of Lewistown, MT, Betty Holzer, LaVonne Stafford, and Wanda (Alvin) Alcorn all of Mobridge, 1 sister Lydia Emery of Hot Springs, SD, 14 grandchildren, 37 great-grandchildren, 3 great-great-grandchildren, 1 nephew and many nieces.

She was preceded in death by her husband in December 1989, a daughter Peggy in July 1993, 2 infant granddaughters, infant grandson, infant great-granddaughter, her father in September 1969, her mother in March 1985, brother Oscar in January 1991, brother Franklin in April 2007, a sister Elsie Klein in April 1974.
