Funeral services for Howard Eagleman, 78, of Wakpala will be at 11 AM, CT, Monday, November 5, 2018 at St. Elizabeth's Episcopal Church. Burial will be in the church cemetery under the direction of Kesling Funeral Home of Mobridge. Family and friends will be leaving Kesling Funeral Home at 4 PM Sunday for an all night wake at 7 PM Wakpala Community Center. Howard passed away Tuesday, October 30, 2018 at Sanford Hospital in Bismarck.

Howard N Eagleman was born on July 5, 1940, in rural Wakpala, to Luke William Eagleman Sr. and Eliza J. Howard (Standing Bear) Eagleman. He attended Wakpala school where he was very active in all sports. He graduated in 1958 from Wakpala High School. Following school, he worked construction at various places including helping build new Wakpala School. He also drove bus for the Wakpala School for many years.

Howard enjoyed playing pool, hunting, fishing, traveling to see his family and his newly discovered Facebook.

Howard is survived by his children, Renah Julius of Sanborn, IA, Eliza Julius of Rapid City, Marissa Eagleman of Wakpala, and Luke (Marilyn) Eagleman of Whitehorse, sisters, Charmayne Eagleman of Wakpala, and Cheryl Queen of Maryland, and many grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his children, Charmayne (Eagleman) Julius and Howard "Rascal" (Eagleman) Julius, sisters, Glenda, Mavis and Loretta.
