Hope L. Roessler of Isabel passed away peacefully Thursday, March 9, 2023, at the Mobridge Regional Hospital, at the age of 90. Arrangements are pending with Kesling Funeral Home in Mobridge. Hope was born March 4, 1933, and raised in New York. She married August Roessler April 2, 1950, in Freeport, New York, and eventually settled in Parkston, South Dakota.
Hope was a pastor's wife and very active in the church community. She was strong in her faith and had a close and special relationship with the Lord. Hope also enjoyed all things crafty, including sewing and quilting. She loved camping and animals, especially her dogs Pandora
and Abby. Hope loved and cherished all of her grandchildren and great-grandchildren and loved spoiling them every chance she got.
Hope was preceded in death by her parents; her late husband, August; two brothers; one sister; One daughter, Ruth, in infancy; and two grandchildren, Stacie and Sarah. She is survived by her five children: Nancy (Lonnie) Anderson, Janet (Ron) Thurmer, August Carl (Lydia)
Roessler, Deborah (Tom) Bunn, and Marie Roessler; her many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and her abundance of friends and loved ones.
Hope was a wonderful mother, a loving grandmother and great-grandmother, and a dear friend. She will be remembered fondly and deeply missed by all who knew he
