Funeral services for Mrs. (Lenhard) Hilda Landis, age 87, of Mobridge will be at 10:30 AM, Saturday, March 31, 2012 at the Zion Lutheran Church in Mobridge. Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery under the direction of Kesling Funeral Home of Mobridge. Visitation will start at 2 PM Friday at the funeral home with a prayer service at 7:30 PM. Hilda passed away Tuesday, March 27, 2012 at the Mobridge Regional Hospital.

Hilda (Raile) Landis was born on March 10, 1925 at her family's home near Ridgeview to Fred & Eva (Krein) Raile. She went to school till the eighth grade at Ridgeview then had to stay home and help raise the younger children in the family. She also had various jobs in Ridgeview growing up.

Hilda married Lenhard Landis at the Landis family home on November 12, 1943. They made their home near the Landis home until 1955 when the family moved to Mobridge. While in Mobridge Hilda worked cleaning homes and businesses for many people until she retired in 1983. Lenhard passed away in 2005 and Hilda remained at home until May of 2007 when she entered the Golden Living Center in Mobridge.

Hilda enjoyed her retirement, fishing and driving around together with Lenhard. Hilda also loved going to the casino where she made a lot of friends. She was a member of the Zion Lutheran Church and Zion Lutheran Ladies Aid.

Hilda is survived by her daughter, Donna (Richard) Keller of Mobridge; two sons, LeRoy (Julie) Landis of Trail City and Leonard Landis of San Jose, CA; grandchildren, Tonya (Thane) Badger, Tammy Landis, Todd (Lindsay) Landis, and Trish (Billy) Bublitz; eight great grandchildren and one great great grandson; three sisters, Anna Eiseman of Wishek, ND, Helen (Bud) Neigel of Eagle Butte and Carolina Becker of Eagle Butte; brother, August (Sharon) Raile of Ridgeview.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Lenhard, sisters, Irene Badure, Alvina Ross, Florence Main, Gertrude Joens, and one brother, Willie Raile.
