Gladys Dyson was born on March 23, 1932, in Hague, North Dakota. She was one of fourteen children to Joseph and Christina Grosz.

While raising her family in Selby she and her husband, Don Dyson, decided to move their family to California. Southern California was her home until returning to Mobridge to spend her later years with her daughters, sisters and brothers.

Gladys enjoyed puzzles, crafts and most of all playing cards. No one interrupted her when it was her afternoon to play. Her family knew not to come to visit or call. She enjoyed sewing and there wasn't anything she couldn't sew. If she didn't have a pattern she made her own.

Gladys enjoyed making things out of plastic canvas and yarn. Every household had a tissue box, coasters, and an angel Christmas tree topper and the most beautiful and original Halloween, Christmas, and Easter house you could imagine.

She loved using her artex paints. Her daughters have an endless supply of "Day of the Week" flour sack kitchen towels.

Gladys is preceded in death by her parents, several brothers and sisters, husband, Don, son, Stanley, and daughter, Patricia "Patty".

Even with all her losses in her lifetime there were good times too. Her sister's remember their brother, Benny, calling her "Happy Bottoms" when she was growing up.

Gladys was a loving mother, grandmother, and great grandmother, she enjoyed watching her family grow with all her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She is survived by her daughters, Elizabeth "Betty", Paulena, Cecelia "Boots", son, Donald, numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren, sisters, Mary, Josie, Jenny, Eva, Diane, Cecilia, and brother, Aloys.

Gladys passed away at the Mobridge Regional Hospital with her daughters by her side.

Mom we love you, you will be missed. Rest In Peace.
