Funeral service for Gerald "Alfred" Weasel Jr. will be at 10:00 am, Friday, May 8, 2026, at Messiah Church. Burial will follow at Messiah Cemetery under the direction of Kesling Funeral Home. Gerald "Alfred" Wayne Weasel Jr., 60, passed away Tuesday, April 28, 2026, at the Sandford USD Medical Center in Sioux Falls.
Gerald “Alfred” Wayne Weasel Jr.
Gerald was a free-spirited person; he loved traveling and meeting people. He loved listening to music and playing his imaginary drums. He loved visiting and joking around with his friends and relatives. He really enjoyed life itself and the experiences it gave him.
In his younger years when he was healthy, he traveled to Montana, Idaho, Washington, California, Texas, and Oklahoma. He lived in Oklahoma for several years. In his later years he lived in Fargo and Sioux Falls. He loved the city life.
In 1995 he was diagnosed with bipolarschizophrenia. He struggled with his health issues and his addictions in the later years.
He will be deeply missed by those who knew him well.
He is proceeded in death by his brother Michael Weasel, his mother Macil Bagola, and his father Gerald Weasel Sr.
He is survived by his brothers John Bliach and Tony Blaich (New Salem, ND), sisters Marilyn Khotpanya (Pasco, WA), Betty Weasel (McLaughlin, SD), one son Channing Red Legs, adopted daughters LeAnn and Janet White Shield, niece Soona and Bryan Price, nephews Andy and Anthony Khotpanya (Pasco, WA), sister-in-law Marie Bliach, brother-in-law Dan Khotpanya.
