Mass of Christian Burial for Georgette Yells Eagle, 81, of Bismarck, North Dakota will be at 10:30 AM (MT), Friday, July 14, 2023, at All Saints
Catholic Church in Eagle Butte. Burial will be at the Dupree Cemetery under the direction of Kesling Funeral Home of Mobridge. A wake service will be held at 6:30 PM (MT), Thursday, July 13, 2023, at the All Saints Catholic Church. Georgette passed away, Saturday, July 8, 2023, at the Augusta Place Care Center in Bismarck, North Dakota.

Georgette was born on July 11, 1941, in Pine Ridge, South Dakota to Susie (Fast Wolf) and Amos Bettelyoun. she was the oldest out of three siblings. Growing up she spent majority of her time in Allen, SD during her childhood. Her and Her family moved to Eagle Butte when she was 17. And it's where she made her forever home.

She met her husband Melford Yells Eagle and had two children Eldon and Nancy. Later she had her baby Terri. She was a home maker until the passing of her husband. But throughout her working history she was a social worker for many years. She also worked as a matron at the Eagle Butte Dormitory. She enjoyed working but after retirement she found a new passion. She enjoyed babysitting when someone needed it. She was always there to counsel if anyone needed a listening ear. But her favorite passion was behind a sewing machine. Her favorite motto to family was "If you find yourself in a tough spot. Sit down, sew and pray." She loved sewing so much and was well known for her beautiful star quilts. That she was asked to teach students at the Standing Rock High School how to make them.

Georgette will be greatly missed by her two daughters Nancy and Terri (Chris). Her nieces Sue and Jill. Her nephew Eric (Summer). Her grandchildren Robin, Donielle (Peyton), Gina, Mary (Seth), David, Casey (Charlie), Ethan (Isabella), and Nathaniel (Nique) and her many great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.

She will be proceeded in death by her parents, her siblings Eldon Bettelyoun, Leonard Bettelyoun and Mary Castro. Her husband and Son Eldon Yells Eagle.
