George passed away Sunday, December 25, 2016 at Mobridge Regional Hospital.
George was born July 25, 1946 at Mobridge to Louis and Elizabeth (Schumacher) Keller.
George and I met yr 2004, he traveled that yr in the Philippines and back on 2005 to ask my parents blessings. George was married twice before. On May 20, 2006 surrounded by all his siblings and family we got married at Lake side cabins, Mobridge, SD, it's one of the happiest moments and adding to that, our daughter Alaka'i was born on Oct 5, 2010 at Aberdeen Hospital. George was with me in every step of the way, especially during my pregnancy to birth and raising our Alaka'i while he takes care of the business. George respects and loves my family in the Philippines too. With Alaka'i, he talks to them through skype and facebook call at least twice a week. Alaka'i talks to her grandparents in the Philippines daily.
He was a Navy Vet in a submarine, fire fighter & arson investigator. Then retired, come closer to his roots in Mobridge & Timberlake to be closer to his siblings & country living then Manage the family businesses.
George biggest pride and joy is our daughter Alaka'i, she is our life. George's daily routine is waking up in the morning have light breakfast with us, bring Alaka'i to school, check the restaurant, pick up Alaka'i from school, have a quick lunch with us, take Alaka'i for ATV ride to the river everyday during summer, take a nap together with me and Alaka'i, then go back to check the restaurant and come home for the night. George also meets his coffee group at the restaurant twice daily except on Sundays.
George loves fishing and hunting, seafood, steaks, wine and coffee, read newspaper and plays card on the computer, favorite team is Denver bronco. "He had a heart surgery in 2009 and he quit smoking for almost 5 years now to improve his health for us.". George loves family gathering, he's a good husband, father, brother and friend. He treats the Grand Oasis Restaurant staff as our family. Our plan for 2017 is to visit the Philippines, bring my parents in USA and have another child.
We love him and miss him so dearly, our life will not be easier without him in our life, around our house and the business. Specially with Alaka'i looking for him, she understands what's happening and she cries at times but when I start to cry too, she then stop and comforts me, tells me that "it's okay momma, I am here, we will be strong & brave, we can do this!" sounds like her dadda George is couching her to say that to me.
