Memorial services for Genevieve "Jenny" Hahne, 76, of Selby will be at 10:30 AM, Tuesday, January 23, 2024, at Kesling Funeral Home in Mobridge followed by a luncheon at Hogie's in Glenham. Jenny passed away Thursday, January 18, 2023, at the Good Samaritan Center in Mandan.

Genevieve "Jenny" Hahne was born on the family farm near Hague, ND, to Joseph and Christina (Kessler) Grosz. She grew up on the farm until her family moved into Hague in her teen years, where she graduated from high school.
On May 13, 1967, she married Cletus Hahne. Together they raised their two daughters in Selby where Jenny also worked at the care center for 34 years. She enjoyed taking care of people but most of all her grand kids and great grand kids.
Jenny's favorite hobbies included crafting of any kind, puzzles, playing cards, camping, and baking. She was also famous for her Christmas goodies, especially her beautifully decorated cut out cookies.

Jenny is survived by her daughters, Laura (Shawn) Glass of Linton, ND, and Lila Wager of Selby, grand children, Heather, Kayla, Holli (Blake), PJ, Bradi (Brett), and Isabella, great grandchildren, Payton, Amiah, JoyCee, Brooklynn, Noelle and Asher, brother, Aloys (Betty) Grosz, sisters, Mary Ford and Diane Volk.
She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, Cletus, brothers, Leo, Benedict, and Frank, and sisters: Elizabeth Chesky, Maggie Weinzirl, Theresa Dietz, Gladys Dyson, Cecilia Engelhaupt,  Eva Opheim and Josie Holder.
