Funeral services for Frank Garreaux age 67 of Rapid City, formally of Eagle Butte, will be 10:00 AM MST Wednesday, April 5, 2017 at St. John's Episcopal Church in Eagle Butte. Interment will be 3:00 PM Wednesday at Black Hills National Cemetery under the direction of Kesling Funeral Home of Mobridge, SD. Family and Friends are asked to meet at 4 Mile junction on Tuesday, April 4, 2017 at 4:00 PM, with a prayer service at 7:00 PM. Frank passed away Sunday, March 26, 2017 at his home in Rapid City.

Frank Garreaux Jr. was born January 18, 1950 at the Cheyenne Agency to Frank and Hazel (Iron Moccasin) Garreaux, Sr.
He graduated from Cheyenne Eagle Butte High School in 1969. After high school Frank joined the US Army in 1970 and was honorably discharged in 1973. After the army he came back and worked as a Highway Patrolman, for the CRST. He then moved to Rapid City in 1978. After his mother's passing in 2006, Frank moved in with his sister Trudy LeBeau. Frank was quite the handman around the house as he was able to take things apart, and get them running again. Frank enjoyed watching Sports and History Channels, enjoyed reading, and he would do a lot of writing. He was a very soft spoken man.

He is survived by his sister Trudy (Jerome) LeBeau, of Rapid City, Three nieces Frankie, Shannon, Heather; Two nephews, Monty and Kenny, as well as several grandchildren.

Frank was preceded in death by his parents, maternal grandparents Truby and Annie Iron Moccasin, paternal grandparents, Gilbert Garreaux and Ameila (Scott) Laundreau.
