Memorial services for Frank Four Bear, 57, of Minneapolis and formerly of Wakpala will be at 11 AM, Friday, September 16, 2022, at the Wakpala Community Center. Inurnment will be at the Ascension Episcopal Cemetery in Blackfoot. Frank passed away Tuesday, August 30, 2022, in Minneapolis. Kesling Funeral Home of Mobridge is in charge of arrangements.

Frank Four Bear was born on November 3, 1964, at the Old Cheyenne Agency to Chauncey and Minerva (Bone Club) Four Bear. He attended school in Wakpala until the ninth grade. He worked for numerous ranches fixing fence and breaking horses, living the cowboy life. After his parents passed away he moved to Minnesota where he has since resided. While in Minnesota he did landscaping and was a custodian at the Metrodome.

He enjoyed hunting, fishing, playing cards, and loved family gatherings and meals. He would always sample a little bit of everyone's cooking.

Frank is survived by his brother, Richard Four Bear of Minneapolis, sister, Beatrice Four Bear of Wakpala, nine nephews and four nieces.

He is preceded in death by his parents, sisters, Josephine, Virginia, Josephine, Rebecca, and Julie, brothers, Phillip Farrel, Nathan Wells, Tom Wells, Chauncey Four Bear Jr., and Kenny Four Bear, nieces, Kristi Four Bear, Lindsay Eagle Horse, and Jenny Wells.
