Funeral services for Everett M. Fowler, age 78, of Glenham will be 10:30 AM Monday, May 7, 2012 at St. Jacobi Lutheran Church. Burial will be in the Glenham Cemetery under the direction the direction of Kesling Funeral Home. Visitation will be Sunday, from 2-5 PM at Kesling Funeral Home, with prayer service at the church from 7-9 PM on Sunday. Everett passed away Wednesday, May 2, 2012 at his home in Glenham.

Everett was born August 23, 1933 to Everett K. and Georgia (Thomas) Fowler in Belle Fourche, SD. He attended and graduated from Belle Fourche High School in 1951. In high school he played football and sang in the mixed choir. He was also a member of the National Guards. He worked for his dad on the ranch near Sundance, WY.

Everett married Lorraine Schlomer at St. Jacobi Lutheran Church on Dec. 19, 1954. They moved to Sundance, WY, and continued to work for his dad. In the spring of 1956 they moved to Spearfish, SD, and continued his carpenter work and started his own drywall business, Fowler Drywall, Inc.

In 1962 they moved to Aberdeen, SD, where he continued his drywall business, and in 1963 he built a lovely four bedroom home. While in Aberdeen he helped plan and build and did all the drywall at Trinity Lutheran Church and held several offices in that church.

Then in 1983 they moved back to Spearfish, SD, where he did carpenter work and Conklin roofing. In 1987 they went to Mesa, AZ for the winter months and there he did home maintenance, built decks and painted homes. Then in the spring they went back to Spearfish where he continued painting and Conklin roofing.

In 1997 they bought a double wide mobile home in Glenham, SD. He painted the inside and outside and built a deck, a storage shed and also planted a lot of trees. Everett was a member of the St. Jacobi Lutheran Church.

Everett is survived by his wife Lorraine, and six daughters: Deborah (Dana) Barnes, Cynthia (Dwight) Luedtke, Susan (Brian) Flanery, Brenda (Craig) Kuckelburg, Belinda and (Jim) Marcrum and Sandra Fowler, 17 grandchildren, 2 step-grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren, and 2 step-great-grandchildren, two brothers Robert (Sharon) of Casper, WY, Guy of Sheridan, WY, numerous nieces and nephews.
Everett was preceded in death by his parents.
