Services and burial for Eugene Aman, age 95, of Mobridge and his wife, Mary's cremated remains will be at 9:30 AM MT Monday, October 15, 2012 at the Black Hills National Cemetery under the direction of Kesling Funeral Home of Mobridge. Eugene passed away Saturday, Sept. 29, 2012 at the Selby Good Samaritan Center.

Eugene was born on May 17, 1917 to Gottlieb and Emma (Hieb) Aman at Hosmer, SD. Eugene entered the US Army on February 26, 1942 and was honorably discharged on September 15, 1943. He was untied in marriage with Mary Laemmle on August 20, 1943 in the Army chapel at Modesto, CA.

The couple then moved to McLaughlin, SD where Eugene worked for the city. In 1952 the couple bought and managed the Elkhorn Hotel until 1963. Eugene was a member of Redeemer Lutheran Church in McLaughlin. In 1992 they moved to Mobridge where they were members of Trinity Lutheran. They were also active in the Senior Citizens and the Eagles Lodge.
