Mass of Christian Burial for Ethel Silk age 76 of Bismarck, ND will be 11:00 AM Wednesday, December 13, 2017 at Catholic Church of Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary in Kenel. Inurnment will be in the church cemetery under the direction of Kesling Funeral Home of Mobridge, SD. Ethel passed away Friday, December 8, 2017 at her home in Bismarck, ND.

Ethel Marie Silk was born on March 15, 1941 in Old Kenel to Stephen and Marcella (Crow Feather) Silk.

She attended the Flandreau Indian School and graduated in 1959.

She lived a long and full life and had 7 children. Loretta Renne Renville, Todd Trottier, Bret Trottier,
Stephenie Trottier, Kenny Trottier, David Trottier, Lawrence Trottier.

Edith attended college in Great Falls, Montana to become a teacher. She returned to the Dakota's "God Country" in 1976.
She passed away peacefully at her home. She enjoyed reading, watching classic movies, smoking cigarettes, and her grandchildren and great-grandchildren where the joy of her life.
Edith is survived by her children Loretta Renne, Todd, Stephenie, David and LT, brother, Lawrence Cheauma, sister, Marie Silk, 16 grandchildren, 24 great grandchildren, 1 great-great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, 2 sons; Bret and Kenny, 2 sisters; Loretta, Pauline, baby brother, Clayton Silk, great granddaughter, Ann Namaste'.
