Obituary
Celebration of Life for Ellen Elk age 61 of Fort Yates will be 1:00 PM CT Saturday, January 21, 2017 at the McLaughlin Blue Gym. Ellen passed away Tuesday, January 17, 2017 at Mobridge Care Center. Arrangements are with Kesling Funeral Home of Mobridge, SD.
Ellen Rose Elk. was born June 26, 1955 in Wagner, South Dakota. Her parents were Fritz and Ada Eagleshield of McLaughlin South Dakota. Ellen was the youngest of 6 kids. Her older siblings were Fritz & Patty Eagleshield of McLaughlin SD, Winona Eagleshield of Little Eagle SD, John & Valerie Eagleshield of Fort Yates ND, Betty Zephire of Fort Yates, and Howard Eagleshield of Bismarck, ND, her numerous nephew and nieces.
She married Curtis Elk of Cannonball ND and they had 3 children, their only son Judson Elk (deceased), of Wisconsin Rapids, WI. Judson's only daughter, Allyson Elk of Nakooskah, WI. Their only daughter Dawn Billy, married to Donald Billy, from Phoenix AZ. They had 6 kids, Blaine Jr, Katrina, Brandon, Ryan, Donald Jr and Isabella, all of Phoenix AZ.
She was preceded in death by her husband Curtis Elk her only son Judson Elk, her parent Fritz & Ada Eagleshield and many other relatives too numerous to mention.
