Mass of Christian Burial for Eldon Yells Eagle, 46 of Eagle Butte will be at 10:30 AM MT, Wed, Mar. 2, 2011 at All Saint's Catholic Church in Eagle Butte. All night wake will begin Tues. at 6:00 PM with a Rosary at 7:00 PM. Eldon passed away Thursday, Feb. 24, 2011 at St. Mary's Hospital in Pierre. Arrangements are with Kesling Funeral Home of Mobridge.

Eldon Harold Yells Eagle was born November 1, 1964 to Milford and Georgette (Bettelyoun) Yells Eagle at the IHS Hospital in Eagle Butte, SD.

Eldon traveled to many places and seen many things. His younger years were spent going to school at Cheyenne Eagle Butte Middle School, Marty Indian School, and later graduated from Cheyenne Eagle Butte High School. Eldon Harold furthered his education at Votech in Rapid City and Black Hills State in Spearfish. After he finished school he traveled to Alaska to work on a fishing boat for a couple of months. He then returned home to be near his family.

Eldon started working at Lynn's Super Value, but it soon became Lakota Thrifty Mart. He worked there for 10 plus years. While being employed at LTM, he was selected to go on a trip to Jamaica. Eldon Harold enjoyed golfing, darts, watching football, or working under a car hood. He was always smiling when his grandchildren were around.

Eldon is leaving behind his mother Georgette Yells Eagle of Eagle Butte, two sisters; Nancy Yells Eagle of Fort Yates, and Terri Yells Eagle of Eagle Butte, four nieces; Robin (Michael) Hanks of Fort Yates, Donielle Miner of Eagle Butte, Gina Yells Eagle of Fort Yates, Mary Yells Eagle of Fort Yates, four nephews; David Eagle Man, Casey Volk, Ethan Norvold, Nathaniel Norvold and 10 grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by his father Melford Yells Eagle, grandparents Bessie and Wallace Yells Eagle and Susie and Amos Bettelyoun, uncle; Everette (Moon) Yells Eagle and Eldon Bettelyoun.
