Obituary
Funeral services for Edward Paul Bickel Jr., age 58, of Firesteel will be at 2 PM, Saturday, February 22, 2014 at Kesling Funeral Home in Mobridge. Burial will be at a later date at the Timber Lake Cemetery. Visitation will be from Noon to 2 PM Saturday. Edward died from illness Thursday, February 13, 2014 at Sanford Medical Center in Bismarck.
Edward Paul Bickel, Jr., was born to Nadine Roettele Bickel and Edward F. Bickel, Sr. on May 24, 1955. Ed spent most of his life living on the ranch and enjoyed his coffee, fishing, riding motorcycles, Chevy pickups and auctions. He was at his best at home working on machinery and gardening.
He is survived by his children: Melissa Bickel Berggren of Crystal, Minnesota, Christina Bickel Mold of Milwaukee, Wisconsin and Edward J. (Megan) Bickel, III of Firesteel, South Dakota; sister Gail Bickel of Vermillion, South Dakota; niece Anne-Marie C. DeMarrias of Rapid City. He had five grandchildren: Alexander and Avery Berggren, Samantha Mold, and Mason and Baylor Bickel; grand niece Saphira DeMarrias and special friend Cindy Urbaniak.
He was preceded in death by his parents Nadine Roettele Bickel and Edward F. Bickel, Sr.
