IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Duane
Brown
July 14, 1983 – July 21, 2023
Funeral services for Duane Brown, 40, of Ft. Collins, will be 11 AM, Tuesday, August 15, 2023, at Kesling Funeral Home in Mobridge. Burial will be at St. Aloysius Catholic Cemetery in Bullhead. There will be a prayer service at 6 PM Moday at the funeral home. Duane passed away Friday, July 21, 2023 in Ft. Collins.
Duane Roger Brown was born in Ft. Yates, North Dakota on July 14, 1983, to Duane Brown and Brenda Goodface.
Duane loved being around people and being social with everyone he met. He could make friends just about anywhere he traveled. He became interested in cooking and was able to attend culinary classes. He got his GED and decided to travel the country sharing his smile with everyone he came across. However, no matter where life brought him, he continued to stay in touch with those closest to him back in South Dakota. When it came to passions, nothing came close to the Denver Broncos. No matter the season or how the game was going, Duane was rooting for his team. He definitely has season tickets in the clouds to every game they play now and will definitely be able to be heard chanting for the orange and blue if you listen well.
Duane had a real zest for life that could get him hired before leaving the interview. From garbage man to construction, Duane was fortunate to experience different places and professions. Always looking for something new to try. Not many come home with the smiles and happiness that Duane would return from a long day of work.
Duane lived in South Dakota over the last 10 years and was able to strengthen his bond with his siblings and reunite with some that he hadn't seen in years. You could tell this made him very happy to see his siblings doing so well. He liked everyone but he loved those who were related to him endlessly.
Grateful for sharing his life with him are his siblings, Richard, Silverey, Sable, Sierra, Dalton, Christian, Sabrina and he is also survived by a nephew and four nieces. On his paternal side, he has a sister, Terri (Brown) Lefthand Bull, several aunts and uncles and multiple cousins. His paternal side has not seen him since he was several weeks old, but never forgot "Baby Duane". His paternal grandma, Margaret Brown spoke fondly of him. Now he is with his paternal sister Delayna Brown, Father Duane James Brown and Grandma and Grandpa Roger and Margaret Brown and all other paternal, extended family members.
Go in peace you have earned your sleep, brother. We will always miss you and think of you often. He was preceded in death by his mom, Brenda Goodface and his stepfather Timothy Brandt.
