Weiszhaar
January 3, 1931 – May 6, 2026
Funeral services for Doris Weiszhaar, 95, of Mobridge , will be at 11:00 am on Tuesday, May 12, 2026, at Trinity Lutheran Church. Burial will take place at the Selby Memorial Park following luncheon at Trinity Lutheran church. A visitation will be held at 5:00 pm with a prayer service at 7:00 pm on Monday, May 11, 2026, at Kesling Funeral Home.
Doris Himrich was born on January 3, 1931, and raised on a farm near Selby to John and Bertha (Meier) Himrich. She attended school at Selby. On July 25, 1948, she married Henry Weiszhaar at St. John Lutheran Church in Selby. They made their home in Selby. While in Selby Doris was active in jaycettes and also was an outstanding jaycette in 1959. She taught Sunday school for many years and was active in her church. She worked in the Red Owl store which Henry and Doris owned until it burned down in 1970. They then moved to Mobridge in 1971 and bought Barkers Bootery Family shoe store where she worked until 1995.
Doris was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church and held several offices in TLCW. She also quilted and knitted prayer shawls for TLCW. Doris also loved to play cards and belonged to several card clubs. She loved to go to coffee parties with her many friends. Doris lived at the Walworth County Care Center since November 2023.
Doris is survived by three sons; Douglas (Nancy) Weiszhaar, David (Carol) Weiszhaar, and Gary Weiszhaar, four grandchildren Jason (Danielle) Weiszhaar, Josh ( Samantha) Weiszhaar, Nick Weiszhaar and Sarah (Pete) Johnson, eight great grandchildren, Connor, Ethan, Addison, Avery, Cameron, Rowan, Sloan and Kristen; her sister Dianna Rubin (Tulsa, OK), brother, Robert (Jane) Himrich (Sioux Falls, SD), and her brother-in-law Clayton Neumiller.
She was preceded in by her husband Henry Weiszhaar in 2000, her parents John and Bertha Himrich, brother, Herbert (Anita) Himrich and her sister Alice Neumiller.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to the Walworth County Care Center or Trinity Lutheran Church of Mobridge.
