Memorial services for Donald Lee Steder, 75 of Selby, SD will be held on Tuesday, September 12, 2023, at 11:00 am at St. John Lutheran Church in Selby. Inurnment will follow the service at Selby Lutheran Cemetery with military honors provided by Frederick-Schauer Selby American Legion Post 100. Donald died on Friday, September 1, 2023, at his home in Selby.

Donald (Don) Lee Steder passed away   September 1, 2023, at his home in Selby, South  Dakota at the age of 75.  He was the husband of Debra Steder. They shared 25 years of marriage.

Don was born on July 26, 1948, to John and Irma Steder in Amboy, Illinois. Shortly after Don's birthday, they moved to a farm in Selby, South Dakota. He graduated from Selby high school in 1966. Following graduation, he enlisted in the US Navy. Don had many jobs throughout his life, but he was especially talented in woodworking, carpentry and mechanics. He was an avid gardener. Don will be remembered most fondly, for his puns and sense of humor.

Don was preceded in death by his parents, John and Irma Steder, siblings, Raymond Steder, William Steder, grandson, Spencer Briscoe.

He is survived by his wife, Debra Steder, son, Jonnathon Steder (Kaitlyn) of Selby, stepchildren, Melissa Briscoe (Sean) of Sturgis, SD. Ronald Bass (Robin) of Belle Fourche, SD and Fallon Hain of Billings, MT 7 grandchildren, Derek and Kayla Briscoe, Abby Briscoe, Jordyn Bass, Ashley Briscoe, Spencer Bush Graslie and Pria Bass along with 2 great grandchildren Camden Briscoe and Charli Sue Briscoe.
