Donald Charles Pesicka passed away peacefully on Monday, November 11, 2019 at the Abbott Northwestern Hospital in Minneapolis, MN, following a courageous battle with poor health for several years. Donnie born on April 2, 1945, to Donald "Pat" and Doris (Bennett) Pesicka. He was the first grandchild of the Bennett's, and a boy to boot. What more could you ask for? He had big, beautiful blue eyes and a smile that would melt your heart.
He attended Dupree School through the 8 th grade. As a child, Don loved working with horses and cattle. He worked for many area ranchers. While living and working the Montana area., he married Judy Anderson in 1967. To this union, two sons were born Donnie Dale and Cody.
He was a core driller most of his life, traveling to many different states, as well as overseas, for this line of work. He was quite the story-teller about his adventures with horse and cows, and with this gift of gab, he could have challenged Louis L'Amour's story telling. He shared many fond memories of his uncles, Mac and Don Bennett. They spent many hours playing music together. He loved playing guitar, and if you could get him to sing, he had a beautiful voice. Donnie loved the rodeos. He knew several of the bucking horses and the lineage. He was also familiar with many of the riders. Don spent his later years at home, watching rodeos on TV. Another favorite past-time was playing cards with his friends at the Faith Cenex, M and D, Countryside Estates in Faith and the Ranch House in Dupree, plus with family members at their houses. He enjoyed many hours playing cards with his special Aunty Bea Kaye Bennett. If he corrected her when she cheated she'd say, "So what it's only a game."
He leaves to mourn, sons, Donnie Dale Pesicka, Cody (Donna) Pesicka, and grandchildren, Jacob (Festus) and Amanda, his mother, Doris Hescock, brothers, Walter Lee (Sharon) Pesicka, David (Linda) Pesicka, Wayne (Nancy) Heidlebaugh and Wesley (Milly) Heidlebaugh, special aunts, Connie Sever and Jackie Joens, aunts, Kathy and Joanie Bennett, many nieces and nephews. Cousins, Marilyn Salee and Kenny Eaton. Special friends, Marjori Collins Pesicka, Dickie Sprenger and Barb Eagle Staff.
Preceding him in death was his dad, Donald "Pat" Pesicka, grandparents, George and Edna Pesicka, Chuck and Shorty Bennett. Eight aunts on his father's side and two uncles and Aunty Bea Kaye on his mother's side. A niece and a nephew. A special friend Thelma Frame.
