Obituary

Demitra Faye White, age 37, was born March 30, 1985 to Jamie Parker in Sioux City, Iowa. She resided in Minneapolis, Minnesota with her grandmother and grandfather, Vivian and Ed Wilson. She later moved to Trenton, North Dakota where she lived with her foster mother, Janice Johnson until she finished high school. For a short time, she lived in Fort Yates, North Dakota and then went to Storm Lake, Iowa where she worked for Tyson Foods until she moved to be closer to her son Aiden in Chicago, Illinois. This is where she lived with her long-time companion, Altoria Champion until her passing on March 17, 2023 with him by her side.

Demitra is survived by her daughters, Alannah of Sioux City, Iowa and Altoria Champion of Iowa, her son; Aiden Brown of Chicago, Illinois, her long-time companion Altoria Champions of Chicago, Illinois. Demitra is also survived by her mother; Jamie Lee Parker and two brothers of Winnebago, Nebraska. She leaves behind many cousins, a close cousin; Angelique Arcoren and family of Sisseton, SD, favorite aunt and uncle; Verna and Fred Arcoren of Sisseton, SD, special aunt; Jennie Parker of Winnebago, Nebraska, Aunt; June (Jose) Lara of Minneapolis, Minnesota and aunts and uncles; Lyla and Richard Johnson of Williston, North Dakota, Laura and Stan Silvernagel of Trail City, South Dakota, Crystal and Punk Kramer of Williston, North Dakota, Arlene Kramer of Williston, North Dakota and her grandfather; Ed Wilson of Watertown, South Dakota.

Demitra was preceded in death by her grandmothers; Vivian Wilson and Faith Parker, cousins; Curtis White, Michael Johnson, Stella Kramer.

On Saturday, July 29, 2023 a breakfast will be served from 8:00 AM – 10:00 AM and a lunch beginning at 1:00 PM -4:00 PM with a presentation and visitation at the Mobridge Senior Citizen Center. (616 6 th Avenue West, Mobridge, SD 57601) Following the meal and presentation, family is asked to meet at The Bay Campground for a time to visit. The Bay Campground is located across the bridge from Mobridge. Anyone is welcome to join the family.

Burial will be Sunday morning, July 30, 2023 at the Trail City Cemetery where she will be laid to rest next to her grandma; Vivian Wilson and cousin; Curtis White.
