Deloris Rieger, age 84, of Amarillo, TX and formerly of Mobridge passed away Thursday, January 9, 2014 at the BSA Hospice in Amarillo. Services will be held in Mobridge in the Spring. Her final resting place will be at the Trail City Cemetery.

Deloris was born June 21, 1929 to Christlieb & Elise Raughett in Alfred, North Dakota.

She married Albert Rieger on Sept. 11, 1948 and worked hard as a homemaker, rancher, motel owner, school teacher and many other fields of work over her lifetime. Lovingly known as "Mimi" to her children and grands, she had a beautiful heart and tremendous love for her family. She would spend hours telling anyone that would listen about them. She lived many years with her family in Mobridge, South Dakota and Blackhawk, South Dakota, then moved to Amarillo in 1990.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Albert, and a daughter, Linda.

Survivors include two daughters, Peggy Reed of Amarillo and LeAnn Sorrels & husband, Mark, of Amarillo; a son, Brent Rieger, of Amarillo; two sisters Judy & Carol of South Dakota; a brother, Roger, of Florida; Grandchildren Stacey Thompson & husband, Jacob, Georgia Patton & husband, Chris and Ciana Sorrels; Great-grandchildren Aden & Ian Thompson and Sydney & Olivia Patton.

The family wishes to extend special thanks to her caregivers at BSA Hospice and suggest memorials to BSA Hospice in lieu of flowers.
