Funeral services for Delores Arlene Ricketts, age 90 of Mobridge will be 2:00 PM Friday, December 18, 2020 at First Baptist Church. Interment will be in the Greenwood Cemetery under the direction of Kesling Funeral Home of Mobridge. Delores passed away after a long exceptional, often times challenging life with her Lord at her side on Sunday, December 13, 2020 at Mobridge Regional Hospital.

Delores Arlene Orth was born April 14, 1930 to Katherine (Kusler) and George Orth at her parent's farm, near Artas, SD in Campbell County. She was raised and educated in Campbell County along with her 2 brothers and 2 sisters.

Delores married Ruben Schreiner on April 4, 1947 in Mobridge, SD. To this union five children were born, Robert, Paul, Barbara, Marie and Mark. The couple later divorced.

Delores married Carl Ricketts on July 5, 1964 one child was born Angela and Delores gained 3 step children, Kit, Kenny, and Linda.

Delores was a long time member of the First Baptist Church in Mobridge, she taught Sunday school and Bible school for many years. She was the Sunday School Treasurer and statement Clerk and served as President of the Church Circle. She served as 2 terms as President of the Eagle's Auxiliary and volunteered at the Mobridge Care Center and enjoyed doing residents nails.

Delores worked various places as a waitress in Chicago, Ill, Seattle, WA and Mobridge. She was a bookkeeper for CR Anthony Co. in Mobridge for 15 years.

Delores enjoyed sewing, crocheting, plants and flowers were her favorite hobbies. She was so proud she got afghans placed in all four lodges at Custer State Park when her son-in-law Terry Mahan managed them.

Delores is survived by her children, Robert (Francene) Schreiner, of Loveland, Co, Barbara Mundt of Rapid City, SD., Marie Mahan, of Hill City, SD., Mark Schreiner of Littleton, CO., Angela (Terry) Schlenker of Mobridge, SD., step children, Kit Ricketts and Linda Diede, sister, LaVonne Fenske of Owatonna, MN., 15 grandchildren and step-grandchildren, over 30 great-grandchildren and step great-grandchildren.

Delores was preceded in death by her husband, Carl in 1972, mother, Katherine in 1987, father, George in 1965, brothers, George Jr. in 1990, Clarence (Buddy), sister, Eileen on May 28, 2007, son, Paul Schreiner on July 25, 2017, stepson, Kenny Ricketts on June 1, 2010, son-in-law, Terry Mahan May 26, 2013 and one great-grandchild.
