Funeral services for Delores Taken Alive-Yellow Horse age 58 of McLaughlin will be 2:00 PM Sunday, June 9, 2019 at the Prairie Bible Church in McLaughlin, SD, with Pastor Donna Archambault officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the services at the church. Arrangement have been entrusted to Kesling Funeral Home of Mobridge, SD.

Delores was born January 30, 1961 at Fort Yates, ND to Elias Little Bear and Wilma Taken Alive. Delores grew up in Little Eagle.

She married Maurice Yellow Horse they were married for 10 years until his passing in April of 2008. Delores lived on the Pine Ridge Reservation for 38 years working at the Senior Citizens Nutritional Site in Manderson, SD.

Delores loved cooking, baking, sewing was a great home maker and caring for her children. She enjoyed making meals for the family gatherings. She had a great love of singing. She was very active in her church Prairie Bible Church, was also active in the sewing class that she attended. Delores enjoyed going out and spending with her friends to have a good time.

Delores is survived by her daughters; Heather Taken Alive and Susan Fast Eagle both of Rapid City, sons; Carl Fast Eagle of McLaughlin, Lyndelle Pleets of Fort Yates, brother; Nelson Little Bear of McLaughlin, four grandchildren; Khalie Garreau, Precious Cook, Saydee Chief Eagle, Katlynn Fast Eagle.

She was preceded in death by her parents, daughters; Autumn Fast Eagle, Martha Fast Eagle, sister; April Little Bear, brothers; William "Bob" Little Bear Sr., Maurice Little Bear.
