Memorial services for Debra Evans, 69, of Mobridge will be at 10 AM, Thursday, December 4, 2025, at Kesling Funeral Home in Mobridge. Burial will be at the Greenwood Cemetery. Debra passed away at home on Thursday, September 11, 2025.

Debra Lynn  Evans was born on January 3, 1956, in Duluth, MN, to Erving and Luella (Friese) Abel. The family moved to Grand Forks, ND, and then to Bismarck, ND, where she graduated from high school in 1974. Debbie worked for Mallrow Bobcat in Bismarck before going long haul trucking with her friend and ended up in Mobridge. While in Mobridge Deb worked for East River Trucking as a bookkeeper for a number years and Grand River Casino as a drop team member for over 25 years until retiring.

Debbie was a very spiritual person, caring about her family and friends. She had their birthdays written on the calendar and would contact them to wish them happy birthday. She would also gift bags for friends having babies. She tried to never miss giving blood when there was a blood drive. She enjoyed reading and playing video games on her phone. She loved going to church at Trinity Lutheran Church in Mobridge and elephants, having a huge collection.

Debbie was preceded in death by her grandparents, her parents, and brother, Brad Abel.

She is survived by a nephew, Kelan Abel, significant other, Arnie Ackerman, aunts, uncles, and cousins.
