Graveside services for Deanna Lynn Crow Necklace age 62 of Wakpala, will be 10:30 AM CDT Saturday, August 15, 2020 at St. Elizabeth Episcopal Cemetery in Wakpala. Closed casket visitation will be Saturday, from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM at the Kesling Funeral Home. Family and friends will process to the cemetery. Deanna passed away Monday, August 10, 2020 at Mobridge Regional Hospital.

Deanna Lynn Crow Necklace was born June 19, 1958 at Fort Yates, ND to Barney and Glenda (Eagleman) Crow Necklace.

Deanna attended and graduated from the Flandreau Indian School. After high school she had a daughter, Katrina Fegan and son, Brandon Fegan in 1978.

Deanna married Dallas Tex Thompson in 1985 and to this union she had three children, Rio W. Thompson, Irene (Dixie) Thompson and infant son, Dacotah Thompson who was stillborn at birth.

Deanna worked various jobs such as the Care Center (as a nurse's aide) Wrangler (as a house keeper) Post Office (as part time housekeeping) and would do house cleaning for Janice Frailing who she enjoyed working for.

Deanna loved to dance and liked listening to Country music, especially Dwight Yokum, she loved baking, her special was making fry bread and

Ka-Boo-Boo Bread in which she would volunteer to help cook at funerals. She enjoyed Pow-Wows and took in stray animals, loved dogs and cats. Deanna was a very kind-hearted person and a beautiful woman inside and out.

Deanna is survived by her daughters, Irene (Dixie) Thompson of Mobridge, Katrina Fegan of Kansas, sons, Rio Wade Thompson of Mobridge, Brandon Fegan of Oklahoma, Dacotah Thompson (deceased) numerous grandchildren, 2 great-grandchildren, long-time friend, Gerald Uses Many of Wakpala, and many nieces and nephews, brother, George Eagleman, sister, Edith (Edie).

Deanna was preceded in death by her parents, Glenda Eagleman and Barney Crow Necklace, infant son, Dacotah Thompson, brothers, Bernard (PeeWee) and Barney, sister, Susie .
