Funeral services for Darlene Traversie, 58, of Whitehorse will be at 11 AM, CT, Monday, March 14, 2016 at Emmanuel Episcopal Church in Whitehorse. Burial will be in the church cemetery under the direction of Kesling Funeral Home of Mobridge. An all night wake will be Sunday with services at 7 PM, CT, at the church. Darlene passed away Tuesday, March 8, 2016 at IHS Hospital in Eagle Butte.

Darlene L. Traversie was born on February 21, 1958 at Old Cheyenne Agency to Isaac and Josephine (Chasing Hawk) Traversie.

Darlene is survived by one brother, Max Traversie, one sister, Virginia Traversie, three children, Jennifer Talks, Isaac Traversie, and Jo Marie (Takes the Knife) Purvis, six grandchildren, Savannah, Zach Weasel, Steven, Devlynn Talks, Cupycake, Handsome Purvis, Hunka brothers and sisters and children.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Isaac and Josephine Traversie, brother, Isaac G. Traversie Jr., niece Raelene Traversie, aunts, uncles, cousins, and grandparents.
