Wiyan Waste Win

Was delivered at home on May 4,1957 by her grandmothers Bessie and Florence White in Mclaughlin SD to Alfred & Evelyn Agard Cindy attended all of her years K-12 at the Ft Yates schools and graduated with the class of 1975. Shortly after she graduated high school she went on to attended BSC where she graduated with her bachelor's degree in Business Administration. She worked numerous jobs with the tribe and around the community but her favorite job of all time was being a mother, grandmother & a great grandmother!

In her younger years she loved to travel and visit family around the country with her parents. In 1960-1970 her Father Aljoe became Chairman of the Standing Rock Sioux Tribe and she was so proud of him. Cindy was Aljoe's first born daughter and they had a strong father daughter bond. During his time as chairman, Cindy traveled to numerous states alongside him and even had the chance to meet President Kennedy and gift the first set of sextuplets each a pair of moccasins, that was one of her favorite memories with her dad.

Cindy had the biggest heart and never left anyone out. She loved to laugh and visit with family, who meant everything to her. She always made sure everyone was fed and warm during the holidays. She was everyone's go to person and would be there for anyone who needed her. She loved to joke and say she was an "octopus" because every time she would cook she would say she had all 8 of her arms out and can do's 8 things at once, she would also say it because of the heart surgeries she had undergone and now had had 3 hearts like an octopus.

After Cindy's mother had passed she became the matriarch of the family. Aside from being everyone's mom, mother, Madre she enjoyed spending time with her siblings and loved to go to the casino and gamble when she could. She would say "only got my ching ching arm left" and would always have her baby sis Bessie to go with her, Bess was the ching to her chong and during family bingo nights they were the "Bad Grandmas". She would always say she had a "memory like an elephant" and never forgot anyone's birthdays and made sure she celebrated everyone with a meal. She would give her last to anyone in need and always made sure her family was good. She cherished all her grandbabies and great grandbabies.

Especially Her pride and joys Jace Royal Lee, Dakota James Blu and king Kai the Great also can't forget her baby boy Rodrick Allen Means. ALL her grands and greats meant the world to her. She was "Grandma Country" to her grandbabies, they would always ask to "take us to Grandma Country's". Cindy was the humblest woman and you would know that if you ever had the chance to meet her, she inherited that from her dad and mom who carried themselves the same way she did.

During her HS years she participated in the Indian Club, Basketball, FHA. She was very smart and intelligent and made the Honor Roll every school year. In 1979, she took in her eldest daughter Crystal Fayme, and a year later she gave birth to her first son Chad Sr. and in 1984 she had Jordan, this was also the time she met her life partner Delano Eagle Sr. from her union with him they had their first daughter and desire with an e, Desire'e, her baby boy AJ and their baby baby, Prairie Rose. During their time together they took in and raised Sadie Layne, he helped her raise all her babies as well as his own up until his death in 1997.

Cynthia did many things throughout her lifetime, but was proud to have pitched for the class D woman's slow-pitch softball team who won the state championship of 1986, her sister Susan played on the same team as well. She was also a pretty good horseshoe thrower and was on a wicked bowling team, which she has many achievements from.
