Funeral services for Corey Flying Bye Sr. age 49 of Little Eagle will be 2:00 PM Saturday, May 7, 2016 at the Elkhorn Congregational Church. Burial will in the Elkhorn United Congregational Cemetery under the direction of Kesling Funeral Home of Mobridge. All night wake will begin at 6:00 PM on Friday May 6, 2016 at the church. Corey passed away Tuesday, April 26, 2016 at Sanford Medical Center in Bismarck, ND.

Corey "Alec" Lynn Flying Bye Sr. was born on March 25, 1967 to Phyllis (Flying Bye) White and Miles Little Dog in Fort Yates, ND. He graduated from Head start and then graduated 8th grade from Little Eagle Day School. He then went on to get his GED at Job Corp in Box Elder, SD, He played on the Takoja's Basketball team. He also went on the first Big Foot Ride in 1990. He worked at Prairie Knights Casino and Resort and went out Firefighting. In his spare time, he liked to build things, do beadwork, make grass dance outfit, diamond willows, starquilts and many other things he liked to do. He was also a good cook, everyone loved his famous menudo soup.

Corey is survived by his mother Phyllis White, and children Corey Flying Bye Jr., Miles Flying Bye, Arita Eagle Pipe, Torey Flying Bye, Alexandria Taken Alive and Patrick Ridley, also surviving are his sisters, Joy White and Priscilla Little Dog, brothers Grey (Lorencia) White, Donald (Faye) Bob Tail Bear, Emil Little Dog, Fred (Bella) Little Dog and Brian Swift Cloud and 9 grandchildren.

He was preceded in death father, Miles Little Dog, step-father, Ralph White Jr., grandparents Joseph & Irene Flying By, Martin & Sarah Little Dog, Dale & Adele Little Dog, Calvin & Cora Flying By, Rev. Moses & Leona Flying By, brother Steve Little Dog, sisters, Charity Long Feather, Corliss Flying Bye, Leta Little Dog, grandson, Brekken Joseph Flying Bye, and many grandparents, uncles, aunties, cousins too numerous to mention.
