Funeral services for Coleen (Eagleman) Serlin age 62 of Grand Forks will be at 10 AM CT, Monday, October 19, 2015 at the Wakpala Community Center. Burial will be at St. Elizabeth's Episcopal Cemetery under the direction of Kesling Funeral Home of Mobridge. An all night wake will start at 6 PM with services at 7PM at the community center on Sunday. Coleen passed away Monday, October 12, 2015 at Alture Hospital in Grand Forks.

Coleen Annette Eagleman was born on March 14, 1953 in St. Paul, MN to Oliver and Gretchen (Young-Thunder) Eagleman Sr. Her family moved to Wakpala where she attended grade and high school. In her final year she moved and completed her High School education in Bismarck in 1971. After high school, she attended the Joseph's School of Hair Design. She received her cosmetology certification and became a licensed hair stylist in North Dakota.
Coleen married Marc Serlin, who was in the Air Force, on February 6, 1975 at the Minot AFB. Following their marriage she moved with Marc during his time in the service to Ft. Sill, OK, Ft. Carson, CO, Ft. Ord, CA, Hanau, West Germany, Ft. Benning, GA, and Ft. Sill, OK, where Marc retired in 1992. They moved to Grand Forks, ND, following his retirement and remained there until the time of her passing. She owned a hair salon in Grand Forks for a year then worked for two other hair salons until she retired.

Coleen is survived by her husband, Marc Serlin of Grand Forks, two children, Tamper J. "T.J." Serlin and Shawn Harrison both of Grand Forks, eight grandchildren, DaeSol A. Harrison, Kaleb E. Schneider, Aurora Schneider of Grand Forks, Saxon-leigh M. Harrison of Fort Yates, Chance Christopher N. Harrison, Christum-Jaymes N Harrison of McLaughlin, L.J. Wilkie of Larimore, ND, Rayna S. Serlin of Mobridge, three great grandchildren, Kailana J. His Chase, Akeiva Vossler, Josiah W. N. Harrison, aunt, Arlene Hodgkiss of Ft. Yates, siblings, Judith Ann Thunder Cloud of Black River Falls, WI, Verna (Lori) Reider of Wisconsin Falls, WI, Leanne Eagleman of Chamberlain, Farrell Eagleman Sr. of Bapchule, AZ, Toni Eagleman II of Wakpala, Winfield Eagleman of Wakpala, Henrietta Girton of Mobridge and Ron Eagleman of Ft. Totten, ND, sister-in-law, Diane Serlin of Frazier Park, CA.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Oliver and Gretchen (Young Thunder) Eagleman grandson, Jyles Wilkie, siblings, Thomas, Lynn, Toni I, Brady I, Oliver Jr., Brady II, and Mavis, Tega, Woodrow Thunder Chief, Gaga, Melinda Green Grass, nephew, Joseph Eagleman, father-in-law, Ralph Serlin, mother-in-law, June Serlin, aunt-in-law, Sally (Joe) Sussman, grandmother-in-law, Sophie Serlin, sister-in-law, Lynne (Serlin) Karlin.
