Funeral services for Christine Moser, 92, of Selby will be at 11 AM, Saturday, July 24, 2021, at Kesling Funeral Home in Mobridge. Visitation will start at 10 AM Saturday. Christine passed away Sunday, July 18, 2021, at the Walworth County Care Center in Selby. Kesling Funeral Home of Mobridge is in charge of arrangements.

Christine Brockel Moser was born Oct 21, 1928, to Phillip Jr. and Rose (Beck) Brockel in Campbell County. She grew up on the family farm and graduated from Herreid High School in 1946. After graduation, she attended college at Northern in Aberdeen and received her teaching certificate. She taught at a country school prior to getting married.

She met her life's partner, Carl Moser, at church where both families attended. They were married Dec 18, 1947, at the Herreid Baptist Church. In the spring of 1948, they moved to Walworth County to their current farm. They worked the family farm together raising livestock and grain along with their four children, Gary, Harley, Wes and Pam.

Christine was a Christian who loved going to camp meetings and attending church services. She would share scripture from memory with everyone she visited. She enjoyed her family and supported them with her prayers. Over time, Christine developed macular degeneration but being strong willed and living by her motto "GO BY FAITH, not by sight", she continued to live in her home. She moved to the Walworth County Care Center in May 2021 and lived there until her death.

Christine is survived by her sons: Gary (Connie) Moser from Apple Valley, MN, Harley Moser and special friend Susie Tousley from Ft. Pierre, SD, and Wes (Teri) Moser from Glenham, SD.

Grandchildren: Bruce (Jessica) Moser, Alan (Becca) Moser, Teresa (Patrick) Kelly, Justin Moser and special friend Kristi Olander, Molly Moser, Whitney (Devon) Alexander, Trevor (Jennifer) Moser, Drew Anderson, Jordan Anderson and Trace Anderson.

11 great grandchildren and sisters Janice Bechtold and Lorraine Fisher.

Preceded in death by husband of 70 years, Carl, daughter Pam Anderson, son-in-law Dave Anderson, daughter-in-law Barb Moser, five brothers and three sisters.
