Obituary

Funeral services for Charlotte T. Ramsey, 62, of Cannonball will be at 11 AM, Saturday, May 14, 2022, at the Red Gym in Cannonball. Burial will be at the Big Lake Cemetery under the direction of Kesling Funeral Home of Mobridge. Wake services will be Friday at the Red Gym starting at 7 PM family will be leaving Kesling Funeral Home at 4 PM. Charlotte passed away Wednesday, May 4, 2022 at Sanford Hospital in Bismarck.

Charlotte T. "Lodi" Ramsey was born on July 8, 1959, Theodore Jamerson and Regina (Ramsey) Grant. She lived her life in Cannonball taking care of her mother until her mothers passing. She raised her children in the most caring way as a single mother. She wanted her children to always carry-on taking care of their families. In time she raised her grandchildren, and they were the ones she carried on for. Her health eventually took many turns. It took her traits away, but she never gave up being strong her belief in power of prayer and knowing Jesus was her savior and she prayed for everyone daily she always told many. She had lost her two sons in her lifetime she is now reunited with all her loved one. Charlotte met the love of her life Mercury Hollow and together they loved one another. They teased each other and shared that loved. He helped raise her grandchildren also.

Charlotte worked at Prairie Knights Casino as a housekeeper and as a Vista worker in her earlier years but mostly was a homemaker. Charlotte enjoyed playing card games, bingo, horseshoes, keno and whist, watching Vikings games, fishing, cooking meals for family and friends, riding horses when she was younger, going to the casino, and traveling to Montana to visit friends.

She is survived by her special love, Mercury Hollow Sr., daughters, Angela Buckley and Neddie Ireland, sons, Teddy and Trista Buckley, Andre Ramsey, Logan Buckley, Merle Flying Horse, Lyndsey Iron Road, Lloyd Stretches Jr., Clarence Carry Moccasin, sister, Leah Grant, brothers, Paul Grant Jr. and Sterling Ramsey, brother-in-law, Bruce Heidinger, grandchildren whom she loved so dearly, Jurnee, Mikah, Laikyn, Yankton Lisun, Andreas, Laura, Dom, Vladimir, Tilly, Tatum, Treyzen, King John, Angel Grant, Henry Iron Road, Erin Flying Horse, nieces, Monique, Lori, Trish, Dawn, Tracy, and Mary, great grandchildren, Everleigh Jade, Baby Boots, Collin, Baby Leah, Dreighton Layla, Bailey, Elaina, Jovanna, Leann, Rider, Rylan.

She is preceded in death by her parents, sons, John Buckley Jr. and Craig Ramsey, grandson, Jacob, brothers, Malcolm, Bernard, Thomas, Sidney Jr., Claude, Cedric, Terrence, sisters, Mavis, Claudia, Sandra, Harriet, and Linda Mentz, aunts, Alma and Verna, Niece, Faye, uncles, Sidney Sr. and Patrick and many other relatives.
