Funeral services for Charlotte Anderson, age 78, of Mobridge will be at 10:30 AM, Wednesday, October 23, 2013 at Trinity Lutheran Church. Burial will be at Greenwood Cemetery under the direction of Kesling Funeral Home of Mobridge. Visitation will start at 3 PM Tuesday with a prayer service at 7 PM at the funeral home. Charlotte passed away Thursday, October 17, 2013 at Sanford Hospital in Bismarck.
Charlotte L. Anderson was born on June 8, 1935 in Stanley, WI, to Milton and Cleo (Mulder) Tatro. She attended school at Stanton School in Wisconsin, Lincoln, Wayside, Larson, Gunderson, Glenham High School and Dupper Schools. She married Lloyd L. Anderson on April 25, 1957. Lloyd passed away on July 9, 1992. She clerked at many stores and businesses in Mobridge for over 65 years and loved it.
Charlotte belonged to the Bridge City Coin and Stamp Club, the Moose Club, Red Hatters, Whist Card Club and Trinity Lutheran Church. She had a love of her family and friends, the Golden Rule, Journey into Faith and walking with the Lord. She always had a caring and giving nature.
Charlotte enjoyed collecting coins, playing cards, flowers, visiting family and friends, country music (especially Ray Price, Charley Pride and George Strait), dancing, family gatherings, and concerts (country music type).
Charlotte is survived by two sons, Jeff (Marilyn) Anderson of Mobridge, Troy (Lisa) Anderson of Chewelah, WA, granddaughter, Adrienne Anderson of Valley, WA, grandson, Joshua Anderson of Springdale, WA, sisters, Joan Peterson of Mobridge, Gail Nordstrom of Colorado Springs, CO, Francis (Jim) Peterson of Mobridge, Carol (Frank) Ducheneaux of Timber Lake, Billy (Jim) Shillingstad of Huron, SD, and Subby (Rick) Reed of Wall, SD, brother, Greg (Gwen) Tatro of Morristown, SD, brother-in-law, Ted (Ruth) Anderson of Glenham and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Lloyd, and daughter, Leann L. Anderson.
Memorials may be directed to the American Heart Association, Crippled Children's Hospital, and the American Cancer Society.
Casketbearers are Mark Nordstrom, Joshua Anderson, Walter Peterson, BJ Shillingstad, John Ducheneaux, and Kent Anderson.
Ushers are Ron Landis and Alan Landis.
