Funeral services for Charles Antelope age 70 of Sioux Fall, SD will be 10:00 AM Saturday, April 6, 2019 at McLaughlin Blue Gym. Interment will be in the All Nation Veterans Cemetery under the direction of Kesling Funeral Home. Military honors will be provided by Looking Back Growler Jamerson Post 239 of Little Eagle, SD. Charles passed away Saturday, March 30, 2019 at Avera McKennan Hospital in Sioux Fall, SD. Arrangements are pending with Kesling Funeral Home of Mobridge, SD.

He Lived!
December 17, 1948, was the day Charles Ernest Antelope arrived in the world to Lenore (Chasing Hawk) Antelope and Levi Antelope Sr.
Charles lived with his paternal grandparents in Black Horse, SD. Later moved to Little Eagle, SD with his uncle Ambrose Chasing Hawk and mother Lenore. He attended grade school at Little Eagle Day School. While attending school he enjoyed grass dancing and hoop dancing,
Charles loved living the Wo'Lakota life and he was fluent in speaking the Lakota language. As a teenager he was drafted into the US Army. He was wounded in combat during the Vietnam War. After he finished his duties as an active soldier he moved back to Little Eagle. Charles helped with raising his little sister Audrey (Antelope) Elk Looks Back.
Charles liked to go hunting when he could and was pretty great at it. Charles had one son named Creedence Antelope, who is deceased. He thought a lot about his granddaughter, Cedar.
Charles last years here on earth was spent living in Sioux Falls, SD, with his sister, Audrey. He enjoyed spending time with all his family. He was liked He was very well liked by all he came across. He was known by some as pops! Also as a respected Vietnam Veteran.
