Carol Dee (Bordeaux) White Mountain age 82 was born in Rosebud, SD to Armenia (Swalley) & Opie Bordeaux Sr. on September 7, 1940. Carol attended school in Rapid City and Pierre SD, and she eventually obtained her GED. Carol took different career paths in her life, one of those paths was as a CNA. Another path led her to the SRST Early Head Start where she was teacher and cook. She also spent some time working for Prairie Knights and Grand River Casinos.
She welcomed two children into the world Gayla Kapule and Russell Bordeaux. In 1960/61 she met and married the love of her life Joseph White Mountain Sr. From this union they welcomed their children Tina (Nick) White Mountain Leingang, Sheila White Mountain, Joseph (Hilaree) White Mountain Jr., Lucy (Lyndon) White Mountain Fredericks, Ivan (Crystal) White Mountain, Fawn White Mountain, and Carroll James White Mountain.
Carol had a passion for sewing and would spend her free time creating different items such as quilts, blankets, pillows, and clothespin baskets, that she enjoyed sharing with others, especially her grandchildren. Carol's favorite hobby was rummaging, she loved to spend her summer finding as many rummage sales as possible. She loved jewelry, purses and most of all her endless collection of sunglasses. One would never go hungry if they were to stop by and visit, as she enjoyed cooking and would always make more than enough. One of her favorite meals was macaroni and cheese. Carol loved being around her family and made sure not to miss attending family events such as birthdays, holidays, and graduations. She loved being around her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, letting them know how proud of them she was and how much she loved them. She was always thinking of them, making sure she always had a little something for them when they would come and visit. She especially loved babies most of all. Her family will always remember her as being kind, thoughtful, big hearted, and giving. Carol will be deeply and dearly missed by all of her loved ones.
