Obituary

Funeral services for Carol Schlepp age 54 of Mobridge, will be at 11 AM, Saturday, September 19, 2015 at Kesling Funeral Home. Visitation will be from 7-9 PM Friday at the funeral home. Carol passed away Monday, September 14, 2015 at Sanford Hospital of Sioux Falls. Kesling Funeral Home of Mobridge is in charge of arrangements.

Carol Lynn Schlepp was born on March 19, 1961 in Mobridge, SD, to William Jacob and Lydia Wilma (Goodhouse) Schlepp. She was raised and attended school in Mobridge. She later joined the Job Corp in Utah for nursing in 1977 when she was 16 years old. Carol also attended YACC from 1978 to 1979. She enjoyed attending the Project Lighthouse, learning to bead and hanging out with friends there. She worked at the Mobridge Care Center. She moved to Sioux Falls in 1981 and met Jim Olson to this union two children were born, Marlon and Thomas. They moved back to Mobridge 1982 and remained there until 1985. In 1985 they moved to Wilmar, MN, she made that her home until 2000. While living in Wilmar five sons were born, Kyle, Scott, Eric, Aaron and Christian. In 2000 she moved back to Mobridge until 2012. Her son Christopher was born during this time. In May of 2010 Carol gave her life to the Lord. In 2012 she moved to Sioux Falls where she since resided.

Family meant the world to Carol. Her grandma, Clementine Goodhouse, was very close to Carol teaching her how to cook, cut up a cow and make taniga. She had a very good heart and was concerned about others, always having an ear to hear and a shoulder to cry on. She was an empathetic person, kind and giving. Friendship meant a lot to Carol. She was very loyal to her friends. She loved to do beadwork and play cards.

Carol is survived by her children, Marlon Sands, Thomas Sands, Kyle Schlepp, Scott Treveno, Aaron Treveno, and Christopher Laframboise, two grandchildren, brothers, Edward Schlepp, Gary Goodhouse, and Blair (Dianna) Schlepp, sisters, Lindy Peters, Cathy Schlepp, Marlys Schlepp, Audrey (Dave) Rowe, and Nina Goodhouse, father, William (Cleo) Schlepp, and numerous nieces, nephews, and aunts.

She is preceded in death by two sons, Eric Schlepp and Christian Schlepp, mother, Lydia Schlepp, grandparents, Moses and Clementine Goodhouse, sister-in-law, Linda Goodhouse.
