Carl Norby of Mobridge, SD had his life cut short on March 29, 2016 at the age of 96yrs and 25 days from the effects of cancer. Possibly contributing to Carl's demise was his life time habit of eating Lutefisk.

On January 1, 1941 Carl married the love of his life Marie Anfinson in Hettinger, ND. He then acquired an auto dealership which he was forced to give up after having been drafted into the US Army in 1944 during WW 11. Following his discharge from the military he obtained employment with the Milwaukee Railroad and retired as a conductor after 40 yrs service and 1,400,000 miles logged riding the rails in train service.
Carl had an avid interest in many subjects including history and was known for his quick wit and sense of humor that he would apply to almost any situation. He was a firm believer that all people should be afforded the same respect as we are all members of the same human race and he applied that belief to all those he encountered.
