Funeral services for Brent Long Chase, 76 of McIntosh, SD will be Monday at 11:00 a.m. CST at the School Gym in Bullhead. Burial will be in the Pine Little Eagle Cemetery under the direction of Kesling Funeral Home. All night wake will be Sunday starting at 6:00 p.m. CST with a prayer service begin at 7:00 p.m. CST at the gym. Mr. Long Chase passed away on Friday, November 5th at St. Alexis Hospital in Bismarck.

Brent Nord Long Chase was born December 26, 1933 to Solomon and Rose (Bruce) Long Chase at Little Eagle, SD. He was the second of two sons and one sister Rosetta. He attended grades school at Little Eagle until the 8th grade. He pursed his passion of ranching with his father and mother near Little Eagle.

He entered the military in the early 1950's during the Korean Era, where he served as a paratrooper. After his discharge from the military he pursed his bronc riding career where he won many championship buckles.

He married Hazel Moran in Little Eagle and later he married Alvina Elk Nation on July 18, 1975. In 1996 he gave his grandson Zachery Long Chase his Indian Name.

He is survived by his wife; Alvina Long Chase, children, Blaine Spotted Horse, Bruce Martinez, Dave (Eileen) West, Rose (John) Bruce, Jackie (Scott) Brown Otter, Anna Long Chase, Solomon Long Chase, Roxanne Long Chase, Cody (Crystal) Long Chase and family, Mark Elk Nation, Mike Elk Nation Terry Elk Nation, grandchildren, Amber Long Chase, Mark "Andy Gump" Elk Nation, Jr., Desirae Brown, Zachary Long Chase, 2 sisters , Blanche Long Chase, Paulette Long Chase and Family.

He was preceded in death by his father Solomon Long Chase, mother Rose Many Deeds, one brother, one sister, one son, two grandchildren, and a friends Aaron Turning Heart and numerous Uncles and Aunts.
