Mass of Christian Burial for BreAnn Harrison, 22, of Porcupine will beat 11 AM, CT, Wednesday, September 11, 2019, at the Porcupine Gym. Burial will be at St. James Catholic Cemetery in Porcupine under the direction of Kesling Funeral Home. A prayer service will be held at 4 PM Tuesday at St. Peter's Episcopal Church in McLaughlin and at 7 PM at the Porcupine Gym. BreAnn passed away Wednesday, September 4, 2019 near Ft. Yates, ND.
Breann Claudia Elizabeth Harrison, more lovingly known as Screamer, was born on August 26 th , 1997 to William L. Harrison Sr. and Michelle Rose Skinner. Breann attended Headstart in Fort Yates, Kindergarten at SRES, St. Bernard's Mission School 1 st -5 th grade, SRMS 6 th -8 th grade and SRHS 9 th -12 th grade. Throughout Breann's school years she was always an excellent student. She was even selected to compete on a history team and travel to Washington D.C. She was also a life-long basketball player. She played for her school teams, as well as every day at the gym and courts in Porcupine. Upon graduating in 2015 she attended Lake Region State College for a semester. When she moved back home she started working for SREC 0-3 Discovery Center in Fort Yates for 2 years. She loved her job and working with her students. Breann obtained her CNA from Dakota Travel Nurse and had future plans to go to college for Nursing. Breann was full of life. Anybody that met her would be greeted with a big smile and a good laugh. She loved spending time with her family and friends; especially her best friend Cherise Standing Bear and her godson Dylan Standing Bear. She was an avid dog lover, and if she could adopt every stray dog and cat her house would be full! You could always tell where Breann was in Porcupine because her dog Chewie was always by her side. Breann loved being outside. Whether it be jogging to the bridge, fishing or just visiting outside her house she enjoyed the outdoors. Along with basketball she also liked to play softball, and her favorite sports team was the Duke Blue Devils. Aside from sports she also enjoyed drawing and art. A hobby of hers was sketching pictures and painting them. Breann was blessed to be a member of such a large and loving family. She was especially close to her brother Tuff, the bond they shared was so special! She was also close with her sister Bilisha Jane. Breann was a very loving and empathetic person. She had such a big heart and was kind to all. She will be dearly missed!
Breann is survived by her father William (Patricia) Harrison, 2 brothers- Joe Skinner and Tuff Harrison; 1 sister Bilisha Harrison. Paternal Grandparents Ben & Luella Harrison; Henry & Annie Harrison; Denny & Betta Crotty Grandmothers- Annette Goudreau and Mary Ann Krauser; Maternal Grandmother Beatrice Skinner; 6 uncles- Matt, Seth, Sam and Seb Harrison, Willard and D'Aun (Memoree) Skinner; 2 Aunts- Roberta (AJ) Agard and LeRay (Doreen) Skinner and numerous cousins.
Proceeded in death by mother Michelle Rose Skinner, Paternal Great- Grandparents Henry & Elizabeth Harrison; Paternal Grandfathers- Roger, Victor and Harold Goudreau, Grandmothers- Margaret Goudreau, Juanita Rousseau and Mayme Chapman; Maternal Grandfather Don Ray Skinner; Uncles- Richard Harrison and Wilfred, Shawn and Shane Skinner; Aunts- Claudia, Sandra, Brenda and Crystal Skinner.
